Our production nursery is located on 56 acres on the southern end of scenic Fort Valley, Virginia. The first crop of trees was planted in 1980 and has expanded to include over seventy varieties of ornamental and shade trees. To produce the highest quality plants, an extensive irrigation system was installed in 1988. In 2000, a perennial growing area was established including our current 150 foot production greenhouse.

In 2002, we initiated an innovative pot-in-pot tree growing system that compliments our traditional in ground growing practices. Our pot-in-pot system allows us to harvest trees year round avoiding the usual stresses involved with digging trees. By having control over production and shipping and by producing locally-acclimated plants, our farm is an integral component providing the excellence you have come to expect from Fort Valley Nursery.
